About Dusty

Dusty was born and raised in Texas and grew up wanting to be a marine biologist or be the next Sailor Moon. It wasn't until she was in middle school and realized just how much science went into being a marine biologist, even when she got her scuba diving license, she began thinking about other paths. She changed her mind from being a marine biologist - and she couldn't be a real-life magical girl from the moon - so she jumped headfirst into music and into theater, graduated early from high school and got a degree in entertainment business from Full Sail University.

While she was working on her degree, she worked with bands and was able to travel to many places around the world. She was even a part of the magic on the Vans Warped Tour for a brief moment of time. Music is a passion for her, and she loves to listen to all kinds of music and go to concerts to meet up with old band friends.

But being on the road, Dusty realized how much she missed being a part of theater on and off the stage. She moved back to Texas and started taking coaching and classes for acting and voice acting. She even likes to act at Haunted Houses from time to time.

Dusty got involved with her local community anime conventions, where she helped from lights and sound to volunteer coordinator, talent coordinator, and talent handler and eventually made friends with many other actors in the Texas community.

After that, she was asked to submit her demo to Funimation (now Crunchyroll) from a friend, and when she did, it was magical. It brought her joy to be a part of something that brought characters to life on screen. Anime held such a strong passion in her heart that being a part of it has been a dream come true, and she loves every second she gets to perform.

She has had the opportunity to voice some amazing characters like Majin Buu (Mini) from Dragon Ball Daima, Tetsuro Kuroo (Young) from Haikyu!!, Regina Locomoti from Ace Attorney, and Ginko from One Piece, just to name a few. She has recently been able to go to anime conventions as a guest and is in awe of being able to meet fans and talk about anime.

In 2021, Dusty made the decision to build up the Dallas acting community. Where she began to host meet ups in the Dallas - Fort Worth area for other local actors to meet and get to know one another and be supportive. She wanted to create spaces where newer actors could talk, learn how to network with others in the acting sphere and in 2025 she hosted one meet up every month with up to 50 actors each month.

Dusty loves to be a storyteller, and she also enjoys reading romance and fantasy novels that have girls saving the world and overcoming their fears and anxiety and also understanding that they too deserve love, and be just as magical as the anime characters she so loves.

With her passion for reading, she expanded her acting skills to audiobook narration.

Dusty loves curling up with a good book (either physical or audiobook), playing Dungeons & Dragons, going to Ren Faires, watch anime, crocheting, listening to music, trying different teas, and finding new recipes to try out in her cooking. She enjoys teaching her bird, Roger, new words, and giving her cats, Alexandria and Dalia, all the love they could ever want.
